I have had a fascination for the Haiku form since I learned about it at school years ago.  The formal structure is 5-7-5 syllables per line, but I have always tended towards a slightly looser tendency incorporating 7-5-5 or 5-5-7 depending on the subject and how best to express it.  Occasionally this extends into a second verse of the same structure.
